That Outro OMG xD. I really liked this episode, as much as I liked the one about AI. It made me think differently on this subject. And with Matt and Afri to share there ideas couple with the video games culture of Richard and Bastian, this was really entertaining and enriching. I will add on the subject, by saying that for me video games are the most complete and powerful form of art to tell a story. Because this brings together many forms of expression : music, writing, actor performance, lighting, sound design, framing or staging a scene. But most importantly it makes the player an active part of the game. You can hate your self for your choices, turn around the view when it's too violent, choose what to use, where to go, who to talk and how. Not all games give all the control you want, but they give you control at least in a way or another. But finally and most importantly games talks a lot of times without saying anything. Metro exodus tells you the end of the world by the environment and the scavenging. Max Payne makes you feel the suffering of the protagonist by making you play his nightmares. And by the same team Control twist your mind with the level design and visuals, to mess with your conception of the space around you. Hotline Miami makes you question violence by how they designed the end of each level. Gris (Afri was narrative designer on this one if I'm not mistaken) makes you play the emotions instead of telling them. Video games can tell so much things in a lot of ways, that other medium can only dream of. Great podcast keep it up!
