Hey! It's always a pleasure to leave you a comment. And it’s nice to hear that you appreciate it to =). I really like this podcast, I missed them a lot this past 2 months (But I’m back from the post-Gamescom rush). This one was interesting and I really agree with you all for the consumer experience. I always say to my friend “Go to the Gamescom because it’s the biggest one, and you will find more games to play. But go there once for the atmosphere, not if you want to preview all your next Triple A games”. But for me (in my job) it’s the best convention. The E3 is really smaller, less people go there because it’s expensive (especially indy games). Paris Games Week is also smaller and is exactly the same thing as the Gamescom but weeks after. The Gamescom is perfect for me, because it’s on 5 days and I can have appointments with everyone I need. The press areas are essential, and without them it will be hard to do my job. Every year it’s intense, but even if it’s the fifth times I cover it, it’s always so nice to be there and to meet the people who makes the games of tomorrow. About the “influencer” side of this convention, I can’t say much because I always ask for a press accreditation. And I never ask for an area to meet my subscribers. It don’t like this side of the show. The influencer is like a “sandwich-man”, here to promote the brand which give him the area or the Gamescom. This will attract more visitors for sure, but they will wait in lines for hours just to see the creator 10 seconds. There is so much more games and things to see at the event, this is a waste of time for everyone. But this is really a subjective opinion. Keep it up guys!
